how to burn belly fat

When I first started weight training, or fat burning, I figured that the more intense the workout, the better. Of course, this didn't make any logical sense, because intensity equals calories burned. So, I started using various different types of weighted crunches and sit ups to target different muscle groups. And sure enough, when I monitored my calorie intake after doing all these exercises, I was losing weight at an alarming rate!

This is why so many people, who go on extreme fat loss diets, have trouble keeping the weight off for very long. They simply do not eat enough, or they eat too many processed foods. The problem is that processed foods are loaded with fat, sugar, artificial chemicals, and preservatives, which mean that you are going to have to eat far less of them if you want to experience even short term weight loss. To be honest, processed foods should never be eaten in any diet, but the problem is that most dieters are too lazy to just say no.

So, what's the solution? Simple. Eat fewer calories and increase your physical activity! Sounds simple and it is, but a lot of people don't implement this method in their fat loss efforts, and they wind up giving up too soon. There is an amazing body weight loss secret, however, that I would like to share with you.

All you need to do in order to experience long term, lean mass loss is to turn your metabolism off and on. As mentioned above, the key to burning belly fat is to eat fewer calories and burn more calories. You can do this by having a high metabolism and making sure that the food you consume is as lean as possible. When you have a high metabolism, your body burns calories at a higher rate - and you lose belly fat!

One of the best ways to turn your metabolism on and off is by doing high intensity interval type workouts. In fact, I would actually recommend doing HIIT workouts instead of going through traditional steady state cardio workouts. HIIT workouts are much more intense than steady state cardio workouts, but they are also longer and more intense as well. If you do a series of high intensity workouts two or three times per week for about 45 minutes each session, you will be burning a lot of calories, and you'll also be turning your body into an energy-burning furnace!

Cutting calories is the key to weight loss and reducing belly fat. When you eat fewer calories, your body turns its metabolic engine off. When your metabolism is running slow, your body stores the calories as fat! So cutting calories is extremely important! If you're not eating enough, you need to make sure that you're getting plenty of protein and complex carbohydrates, so that your body gets the fuel it needs.

One great way to make sure that you're eating enough is by doing a little bit of research on the internet. If you search "cutting calories", "weight loss calculator" or "calorie shifting" you will find lots of interesting resources. Be creative and don't just eat the same things every day: fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, chicken, lentils... the list is endless. You can even eat salad dressing instead of mayonnaise! If you use these tips, I'm sure that you'll be able to lose weight and to keep it off.
